A busy community feedback channel
Hundreds of messages a day, and a few of them are real ideas. RoadmapAI reads all of them and keeps only the requests.
Invite the RoadmapAI bot to your server, choose the channels it reads, and feature requests from your community land in your review queue on their own.
In RoadmapAI, pick your project and open Integrations from the sidebar. The Discord section is at the top.
Discord opens and asks which server to add RoadmapAI to. Only servers where you have "Manage Server" are listed.
RoadmapAI asks to read messages, send messages and add reactions. It never deletes messages, bans users or reads DMs.
Tip: Keep every permission ticked. Without "Send Messages" the bot can capture requests but cannot tell people it did.
You are sent back to RoadmapAI with the Configure panel open. Tick the channels where people share ideas. The bot only reads the channels you pick.
Feature requests are on by default. Turn on bug reports too if you want them on the roadmap. With auto-approve, requests above the confidence you set go straight onto the board, skipping the review queue.
Pick a reply channel and decide when the bot answers: when it detects a request, when it is a duplicate, when you approve it, when it ships and when you decline it. Each message can be edited, and it can mention the author and link to the roadmap item.
Thanks @dana! "Dark mode" is on our roadmap now. Vote and follow it here: https://theroadmapai.com/r/acme/dark-mode
Click "Save settings". The bot picks up changes within a few seconds. Post "It would be great to export reports as CSV" in a monitored channel and it shows up under Inbox in your dashboard.
Hundreds of messages a day, and a few of them are real ideas. RoadmapAI reads all of them and keeps only the requests.
Moderators (Manage Messages permission) can reply to any message with a mention to capture it, even in channels you do not monitor.
When an item moves to Completed, everyone who asked for it gets a reply, so your community sees that their ideas matter.
The bot can only list channels it can see. Give the RoadmapAI role "View Channel" on it in Discord, then click the refresh button in Configure.
Check that the server shows "Listening" in Integrations. If it says "Needs channels", open Configure and tick at least one channel. Messages from ignored users and bots are skipped.
Make sure the replies you want are turned on in Configure and that the bot has "Send Messages" in the reply channel.
